Closure of Gorkovskaya Metro Station during Rush Hour

Starting from October 21, Gorkovskaya Metro Station in St. Petersburg will change its operating hours due to a major escalator repair.

On weekdays, the station entrance will be closed from 08:10 to 09:50 in the morning and from 17:00 to 19:00 in the evening. The exact timing may be adjusted based on passenger flow. Commuters are advised to plan their routes in advance.

During the closure, commuters can use alternative means of transportation to reach neighboring metro stations:

• Bus No. 46 and 76 or Tram No. 40 to Petrogradskaya Station.
• Bus No. 28 or Tram No. 3 and 6 to Ploshchad Lenina Station.

Delay in Metro Station Repairs

The repair of the escalator at Ploshchad Vosstaniya Station will continue on October 21st, causing delays in its completion. The search for a contractor by the St. Petersburg Metro began in September. The repair work is expected to last from November 20th of this year to November 26th, 2026. However, the transportation hub will remain accessible to passengers during this period.
