In partnership with Wallpaper*, historian and watch writer Nick Foulkes has authored a comprehensive book on the Submariner, Rolex's famous dive watch. This is the first authorized book-length take on the true history of the Submariner, which was the world's first wristwatch certified waterproof to a depth of 100 meters.
The book, published in a bilingual edition (English and French), is a result of the partnership between Rolex and iconic design magazine Wallpaper*. It contains 252 pages and promises to be more than just a dry accounting of history and technical matters. Foulkes brings drama and tells the tales of the pioneers who tested the prototypes.
Having been given unique access to the Rolex archives, Foulkes expresses his delight and excitement at being able to write the first authorized accounts of the timepieces that have helped shape history. The book also highlights the contributions of Rolex Testimonees and their involvement with Rolex's Perpetual Planet Initiative, which supports environmental exploration and protection.
This book is the first in a series of publications from Rolex, and it is available for international sale. There is also a limited edition silk-bound version of the book for purchase.
