The Kazan-based football club "Rubin" took a dig at FC Krasnodar forward Fyodor Smolov on social media after he discovered his missing watch following the Russian Premier League match in Kazan. Initially, the Kazan team surveyed their players about their favorite watch models, later releasing a corresponding video. They then announced that they would be giving away watches to season ticket holders during their home match against "Akron" from Togliatti in the 16th round of the RPL.
After the match against "Rubin" (1:1) in Kazan, the player's expensive watch disappeared from the locker room. The value of the watch is estimated at 7-8 million rubles. Stadium staff reviewed the cameras but didn't notice anything suspicious. Later, the footballer promised a reward for any information that could help him find the accessory. However, Smolov did not report the theft of the expensive watch to the Kazan police.
