Car Week, held annually in August, is a car lover's paradise. From shows and events to unveilings and races, this week-long celebration of automotive excellence leads up to the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Rolex, a long-time supporter of the event, took me on an unforgettable journey through four of the week's top events.
The adventure began with the Pebble Beach Tour D'Elegance, a public event that allows enthusiasts to get a closer look at the cars featured at the Concours. As we cruised down Highway 1 to Big Sur and back, I marveled at the stunning vintage cars and breathtaking scenery.
The next stop was The Quail, a luxurious garden party and car show. With food, drinks, and an impressive collection of cars, it was a swanky affair. Rolex was everywhere, showcasing both common and rare models.
On Saturday, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion took place at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. This exhilarating event brought together various race cars, including Jenson Button's stunning 1952 Jaguar C-Type. The highlight for me was witnessing the iconic Group C Mazda 767B in action.
Finally, the week culminated in the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance, a world-renowned judged competition. Rolex has been a partner since 1997 and awarded the Best of Show winner with a special version of the Rolex Perpetual 1908. This year, the prestigious title went to a breathtaking 1934 Bugatti Type 59 Sports.
